Is a Quackr ID number a VoIP number?

Short answer

No. Quackr ID numbers are real mobile numbers, not VoIP, so services that refuse virtual numbers still send you the code.

Plenty of apps look up a number's line type before they send a code. If the lookup comes back as VoIP, the kind of number you get from Google Voice, TextNow or most second-number apps, the sign-up stops there. Banks, payment apps and the big social networks do this the most.

A Quackr ID number is a non-VoIP number. It's issued by a mobile carrier and registered as a mobile line, the same kind of carrier number that comes with a phone plan. To a line-type check it looks the same as the SIM in your own phone, which is why codes that never show up on a VoIP app arrive on Quackr ID.

The difference is that it isn't in your phone. You read your texts in the Quackr ID dashboard, the Android app or the browser extension, from anywhere.
