What should I do when an alias starts getting spam?

Short answer

You already know who leaked it, because that address only ever went to one service. Mute the alias or rotate it to a new address, and the spam stops without touching your real inbox.

With one email everywhere, spam tells you nothing about where it came from. With an alias per service, the address itself names the source.

Open the identity in your dashboard. Muting stops mail from that alias reaching you. Rotating gives the identity a fresh address, which you then update on that one site. Your other aliases and your real inbox carry on as normal.
